Dental Check-Ups

Good news! The boys currently have no cavities. I thought it was funny that though I'm their dad and I look in their mouths almost everyday, both the boys were quite nervous to visit the dentist. They ended up doing well when it was all said and done. I examined their teeth was able to scale and polish their teeth. Also, they each allowed me to obtain a panoramic radiograph. I think this was Peyton's first dental visit. By the way, for all those dentist out there that fallow our blog once in a while what can you see wrong with Peyton's pan?

Saying goodbye!

We have been so blessed with such great friends over the years! How have we been so lucky?! Since we don't have family close, our friends have had to become like family. We've swapped babysitting, shared holiday's together, girls nights, visited each other in the hospital when new babies were born, cooked meals for each other, thrown baby showers, zoo trips, shopped together, had play dates, game nights, txt after txt, and have had so many other fun moments together! It's been fun meeting a lot of new people and sharing our lives with each other for a short time. Recently 4 family friends have moved away because they are done with this chapter of their lives. We miss them all terribly and wish them the very best! So, here's a shout out to the Farleys, Howells, Heatons, and Packs :). Makes me wish, once again, that I took more pictures with each of these families (I did copy a few from each of their blogs...sorry guys).

Summer Vacation

We've been having a blast this summer! Too bad I'm a really horrible at documenting with photos. We have very few of them, but I will share the ones that I did get :)

First of all, we had a great trip out to Idaho and Utah. We drove 69 + hours to get there and back, but it was totally worth it! The kids did great on the way there, but Clara screamed a lot on the ride home. Can you blame her?!

We stopped in Omaha for a day and got to see so many fun friends. The Saxton's hosted a little gathering after church. It was a blast! I stole these pictures off of my friend Alicia's blog because once again...I didn't take any!

On to Utah we drove! We saw Kim, Matt and Karlee for a day. We're so glad we did! We drove up to the Belcher Cabin...It looks amazing! We had fun playing games and seeing Thomas the Train. We stayed in Heber for a day and a half, then we headed to Idaho!

We had a lot of fun in Idaho. We stopped for a day or so to visit Lisa and her family in Mountain Home. The kids had fun playing with Micah and Kate. Lisa and I sewed Christmas gifts! I'm trying to get ahead of the ball game. Lynn went and shadowed Dr. Stauts (a Prosthodontist in Boise). I didn't take any pictures...so mad!

We then made the drive to Emmett, Idaho for Uncle Matt's graduation. The kids loved seeing their Grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. We BBQ'd, attended graduation, made shirinky-dinks, went to the park, bought Boise State shirts, played cards, saw a lot of family and had a great time. The only pictures I took were at Boise State at the famous blue turf. Side note...Clara learned to walk while we were in Idaho!

We also got to see some old friends from dental school, the Thurbers. They were in Boise for a graduation as well. We haven't seen them for 3 years! It's fun to see how big their kids are getting :) ps. I'm already starting to look pregnant!

After about a week in Idaho, we drove back to Utah to spend some time with Grandpa and Grandma Belcher. Lisa and her kids came and spent some time with us there. We went to the park, McDonald's, painted toenails, played cards, went to a mini indoor carnival, saw my awesome high school girl friends, and ate at Tucanos! Lisa and I got to make a couple of trips to the Park City Outlets.

After visiting Utah, my mom and I drove home because Lynn had to leave Utah early to get back to residency. We stopped overnight in Omaha and stayed with the Wilkensons. We then drove to Wisconsin and stayed with the Acors for a few days. We made it in time for Kara's birthday party and Tanner's birthday party. I sure wish I had pictures of the fun we had together...lesson learned I guess :)

Thanks family and friends for all the fun on our three week excursion! It was a blast :)

If you haven't heard...

We are expecting baby #4 December 13th! Kind of crazy, but the time is right for our family to welcome another little one into it :). Clara and this one will be about 20 months apart, so life will be crazy for a bit, but we are excited! We find out the gender in a month :).

Dear Blog

Dear Blog,
You have been neglected for about a year now. I've been poked and prodded by many to get my act together and post something. I promise that I'm still alive. Lynn is surviving. My kids are healthy and happy and we are another year down in this residency program! Woot, Woot! I almost gave up on you, but decided that it was time to post something.

Updates...Clara is one now and just took a few steps yesterday! We are so excited for her and everyone loves her to pieces. She loves attention from her brothers and has such a cute little personality. Can I say that I love having a little girl? It's so much fun! Back in February we entered her into a Babies R' Us crawling contest and she won! She won us a $10 gift card and 3 months of free diapers. We were so excited and happy! Here she is at the finish line. Who knew that my cell phone was all it would take for her to crawl faster than the other babies :)

A quick visit from Grandma and Grandpa Belcher! Thanks for coming to see us :)

Peyton has grown up a lot this past year. He is in preschool and loves it. He loves to play computer games and play Legos with Porter. He is a funny kid and is always making us laugh. He can't wait to play soccer in the fall like his big brother. He is my best helper and loves to help with dishes and laundry. Both of which I despise! It makes it more bearable to do when he's there helping.

Cupcakes that I made for Saint Patrick's day. The kids loved them!
In March we had a fun visit with Grandpa Gurney. He endured another trip to the zoo and cosi. We did take a day trip up to Kirtland. It was way cool. I just wish Clara would have thought so too and I could have enjoyed it a little better. Thanks for coming to see us!

Porter has also had a great year. He loves first grade and I can't believe that he is almost 7! I have a kid whose almost 7...weird. He's been playing so hard in soccer and isn't afraid of playing with kids twice his size. He is such a great big brother and is now embarrassed to kiss me goodbye when he goes to school. I miss that! I understand though :)

We've been busy with a little mom's preschool that we rotate between us. We call it Jelly Bean school. Here is a group of the boys dressed up in our super hero costumes! They have a blast :) Peyton is in the Spiderman costume...he's a pretty good poser.
Lynn has been a trooper this past year. He's been busier than ever and we love it when he's home. Between residency and Young Men's we hardly see him. So, when he's home, the kids are all over him! We are enjoying our time, but we can't wait to live a normal life with a normal job. It's exciting that we are already looking for jobs! We are excited to know where we will be settling down, although we are so used to moving every 3 years. I don't know what we will do when we are actually settled...I'm sure I'll get used to it ;)

I've been enjoying this year, but find myself exhausted at the end of each day. Posting on the blog has been the last thing on my mind. I'm glad that I updated it, but don't expect much from me. It might be awhile until another post finds it's way here.

Future Dentists of America

These cute guys decided they wanted to accompany me to the lab and work on some teeth. So, they each designed their own set of dentures. Not too bad if I do say so myself. Peyton kept telling me he was making baby Clara's teeth.

Clara Michelle Gurney

She's finally here! We are so excited to have a new little baby in our home. Clara is adored by her brothers. They just can't get enough of her.

I was induced April 30th. Lynn and I went to the hospital and just got to hang out all day together. It was very relaxing! We rented a couple of movies and Lynn read his papers for school. I couldn't have asked for anything more "chill". I started pushing around 4:30 and Clara was born at 4:45 pm. That's the jist of it :) She weighed 7 lbs. 11 oz., was 21 inches long and 13 inch head. She has the darkest hair and lots of it! Here are some pictures of Clara's first few days of life. I've got more pictures, but they weren't uploading. boo!

Clara minutes after being born.

Happy mommy!

Porter was so excited for his sister to come!

Peyton loves her too!

Lynn doesn't know what to do with a little girl...he loves it!

Going to the doctors for the first time.
