PORTER ART AND STARWARS

As everyone knows by now there are couple of things that Porter just loves. Probably his most favorite thing, right now is Starwars. (I say right now because he has shown a trend of going through different phases of what he likes the most. i.e. cars, ninja turtles, and now starwars) He just loves it. The other thing that Porter really likes is drawing/coloring. This is actually something that Porter has always liked. He is getting better at drawing things on his own (he likes to draw pictures of our family) and is really improving with his coloring skills.
He always seems to combine both of these interests and almost daily asking Mom or Dad to draw him some lego starwars figurings so he can color them. By the way Erin has developed into quite the artist. She can whip out a full sheet of lego starwars characters or cars characters, and even ninja turtle characters in about 5 minutes. Porter loves her drawings and often tell me that Mom's are better than yours Dad. As proof of her skills here's a pic:
When porter gets done coloring them he then takes some scissors and cuts out each one individually to play with later. He has a bag clear full of them in his room.
Anyway, one day I decided to sit down and draw him some Galactic Hero star wars picture and this is what happened:

Porter and I had tons of fun coloring it for the next couple of nights together. He is a wonderful colorer.
Sleeping Pics of Porter

The other day Erin and I looked over to see how Porter was doing around his nap time and this is what we saw:

It looks pretty comfy if you ask me. I think I'll try it next time.

The next pic was too cute to pass up. It happened this past week. I was pretty excited to be home early because my afternoon classes are done for the summer. I came in the door and saw Porter and Erin asleep on the couch. At first I thought they were just playing around like they normally do when they here me coming in the door. (Usually they try and play that they are asleep) I tried laughing to wake them up but they didn't budge. They were just too cute, so I took a picture.

Erin didn't want me to post this pic, but I thought it was priceless.

Hello?

We didn't know how much Peyton watched us talk on the phone until he picked one up today put it to his ear and said, "EEEH Dah?" SUPER CUTE! He is such a silly boy who loves to talk! Some times I think he is saying "Yeah" in part of the video. Sorry it's sooo long, but I didn't know how to make it shorter.

Lego my Eggo

So Porter is LOVING waffles. Every time we go to the store he wants to pick out some waffles from the freezer section instead of a candy bar or some other treat. When we get to the Eggo waffles he takes about 5 mins. trying to decide which flavor of waffles he wants to get. It is the funniest thing ever because you'd think he was making the most important decision of his life.

Seen and Heard

There are too many funny things you see and hear every day as a stay at home mother, so here is another seen and heard.

Heard:
After I threw Peyton up into the air and caught him a couple of times Porter says, "Mom, stop doing that, it freaks me out!"

Heard:
Porter- "I'm a Star Wars lover!" (He said this as the kids I was babysitting were coming into the house)

Seen:
Peyton trying to jump on Porter's bed. (He sees his brother do it often shame, shame)

Heard:
Porter- "Mom, you are such a sweetheart, and you are really good at making that cake!"

Heard:
I had just put Porter to bed and started watching one of the shows that I love when I hear from down the hall: "I can't see!" Apparently I was obstructing Porter's view of the television. I had no idea that he could see the TV from his bed.

Happy 1st Birthday Peyter Skater!!!

Today is Peyton's first birthday, yay!!! It's funny because we actually celebrated it yesterday because Lynn is working tonight. It was small, but fun. I loved that Peyton actually dug into his cake. I knew he was finished when he started throwing it every where. He was very cute. He liked his birthday presents especially the ball and the bubble machine. We played catch with his new ball and he is getting to be a good little thrower. This past year has flown by so fast. It seems like Peyton has been apart of our family forever. I made him an alligator cake which turned out super cute and is probably one of my favorites that I've made so far. I will post pictures later because they are on our desk top and I'm writing this from our lap top. Happy Birthday Peyton!!

Happy Dad's Day!

This post is for all of the fathers that we love!!!

First of all my father-in-law is such a great guy. He loves going camping and fishing and we are excited to go with him this summer. He loves his grandkids so much. Porter loves it when grandpa shares his M&Ms with him. He is a very strong priesthood holder who loves his family and the Lord very much. We love him!!!
Brad the "rad dad", as we call him, is the best father anyone could ever ask for. He is so much fun and is always excited to talk to any of us whenever we call. He has been willing to help us whenever we have needed it. He is a strong priesthood holder and a hard worker. I remember working out in the yard with him when I was younger. He always worked right next to me and my sisters. He is a wonderful grandpa and the boys just love to be with him. We love you dad!!!
Lynn is such an awesome dad! Both Porter and Peyton just adore him. I think that if they had a choice between the two of us, they both would choose him. Lynn takes the time to play with the boys. They love to play hide and seek with him and also baseball in the house. Lynn is a great priesthood holder who loves his wife, kids, and most of all the Lord. We love you Lynn!!!
